As we have jointly communicated earlier, confusion has taken place between the tradenames of both Embassy Benelux (currently acting under the tradename Zwibo) and Embassy Sporthandel (Germany). As former business partners, and current competitors, Embassy and Zwibo have been involved in long-term discussions and negotiations related to this confusion on the market.
Therefore, Embassy Sporthandel (Germany) and Zwibo (Netherlands) have recently reached an amicable solution that is satisfactory to both parties. Zwibo (NL) will remain the owner of the trademark BULL’S and all of the trademarks associated thereto. Embassy (DE) will remain the owner of the trademark EMBASSY and all of the trademarks associated thereto. In addition, Embassy (DE) will market its products under the new trademark “Beazd”.
As a result of this solution, confusion will no longer be an issue. Retailers are not affected by the agreement, and parties have agreed to certain conditions under which parties are both allowed to sell off all their remaining products indefinitely.
